The VIS 35 pistol designed by Piotr Wilniewczyc and Jan Skrzypiński is a personal weapon for self-defence and combat at ranges up to 50 m. It is a self-loading pistol with a movable barrel, locked slide and short recoil of barrel. It was manufactured from 1936 to 1939 in Factory of Weapons in Radom for the armament of Polish Army officers and non-commissioned officers. During the Second World War the invader was carrying on its production and VIS 35 was intended for the armament of the Third Reich Army. Now based on archiv documentation of 1937, production of VIS 35 has been restarted in small lots mainly for collectors and as a weapon of honour. |
